Hi Russell, actually the link is prominently displayed on every page of the docunext blog right under the title. It reads: "We proudly use Debian GNU/Linux". I'm surprised you missed it.

Judging from the server logs, the great majority of people who visit this site are "bump and run" visitors, who are searching for a random answer to a technical problem, and I hope the link shows my respect for the quality of the debian distribution.

Personally, I had been using linux for about 8 years before I tried debian. I used RedHat and then Gentoo, and about two years ago, someone suggested Debian because of its stability, and I'm so glad to have found out about it.

Also, I've strategically placed the link at the top of the page. I believe it makes a difference when it comes to seo.

It seems a little ironic that you list "link to the debian web page" as one of the things you do for Debian - but don't include such a link in your post!

It does seem unlikely that there is anyone who doesn't know that the web site is http://www.debian.org/ and yet has enough background knowledge to understand your post. So I don't think any readers are missing out.
