Catalyst is a perl powered MVC web application framework, sort of similar to Ruby on Rails (RoR) or Sympfony. How had I not heard of this before? This looks really quite nice. I've been interested in RoR for awhile now, but haven't given it serious consideration as I don't install Ruby on any of my servers. Not for any particular reason, I'm just quite content with PHP and Perl.
While I may end up migrating to Ruby on Rails at some point in the future, I'm definitely going to build some applications with Catalyst. The first one being a simple database of people. How many of these have been built before? I don't want to know!
